Things To Do Links

The Moreno Valley and the Enchanted Circle offer a variety of things to do.  The area is abundant with adventures for every season and something different for everyone in the family.

Elizabethtown is an old mining ghost town located near Eagle Nest.  It has its own museum.  The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is also nearby, just outside of Angel Fire.  Eagle Nest is centrally located between Angel Fire (12 miles) and Red River (17 miles) both of which have ski resorts and offer skiing, sleigh rides, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling in the winter months.  Summer offers many other attractions such as hiking, fishing, horseback riding, Jeep rides, and a cowboy's night out with chuckwagon dinners.
Fall in the  Carson National Forest

In the fall, the changing colors are spectacular set against the clear, blue sky.  Hunting is also available nearby in the Carson National Forest and with private outfitters.  New Mexico's two highest peaks, Wheeler Peak and Baldy Mountain, rise majestically from the valley and provide a backdrop for amazing mountain photography.

Nearby Taos (35 miles) offers numerous art galleries and shops, gambling and Taos Pueblo, which has been the center of Native American culture in northern New Mexico for more than 900 years.
Rio Grande Gorge just outside Taos, NM
